About Me
Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet!
I’m Kelly. Born and raised in the Northern Utah area, I love to watch shows about amazing travel locations around the world. However, visiting these locations remained a dream. When I turned ten, this changed. My first big adventure outside of the USA was a cruise. My family took a trip through the Mediterranean. We visited amazing locations in Turkey, Greece, and Israel! This was such an inspiration to me. However, since I was young, I spent some of that precious time trying to catch the local lizards. (I still tease about this today.) Even though the lizards were a thrill at the time, the trip sparked something in me. It ignited my desire to learn, try new experiences, and explore the world.
The desire to travel the world as an older and a more knowledgeable individual was strong. It had taken another eight years before I left the country again. This time, I was much more mature and ready to learn about different cultures; not just the best way to chase lizards. My trip was a three-week adventure through the People to People Student Ambassador Program. We traveled through Italy, Austria, France, and Switzerland.
This trip only fueled my desire to travel. Soon, that was all I wanted to do. Most of my travels have been with my incredible mother, but a couple of trips I have done on my own or with friends. I constantly think of new locations in the world to explore, and every couple of weeks I add a new location to my travel wish list.
The vast list of countries to visit each with their history, culture, and stories, is amazing but…. wait! That is only a section of the world! More than 70% of the earth is covered in water. This fact brought forward kindled my desire to explore below the waves. I became SCUBA certified in 2014 and now have added more must see locations to my already never-ending wish list.
In my corner of the internet, I wish to inspire others to travel and explore the world. I want to share my experiences, help others from my experiences for their travel decisions, and share a little about myself too.
