The famous floating city is as beautiful as everyone says. As beautiful as this city is during the day, at night this once bustling with tourist location quiets down with little traffic and lit canal ways. Seeing the light sparkle off the water is mesmerizing. This city is a maze to explore, but a really an open air museum!
This city began as a middleman trade agreement between the west and east, to then become a major superpower to contend with the Ottoman Empire. At one point in time, Venice and its ruling Doges had control over much trade in the Hadrian Sea (Adriatic Sea).
