Homomonument
The terror reign of the Nazi Troops during WWII not only took many lives of those who were Jewish; they also targeted those with mental and physical handicaps, gypsies, and those who were LGB. Those that were LGB were made to wear a pink triangle as a way to indicate people just as those who were Jewish were made to wear a yellow Star of David. In 1980, a monument was commissioned but unveiled in 1987. It comprises of three triangles one that is raised off the ground, one that is the same level as the ground with writing, and the third reaching into the nearby canal. Each of these three are connected by a thin line to form the three corners of a larger triangle.
