Basilica of St. Nickolas

Basilica of St. Nickolas

Standing tall trapped in time, this old Basilica in the middle of a progressive city.

Though this amazing church has been standing for over 130 years, it wasn’t until 2012 that it’s status went from a church to a Basilica. However, this Church has seen so many changes while standing here within the city of Amsterdam. Ordained with red and white marble, many saintly statues inside, stained glass, and gilded ceilings, this will still make anyone’s jaw drop in how beautiful it is. With its beautifully high walls set with a traditional triptych layout, this church is designed to make you feel like you are very small, yet in a very special location. It has been serving the Catholic community within the city for a very long time.

So beautiful inside.
